World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of armors, weapons and rings. They also boost extra bonuses such as crit chance and PvE damage.

If the weapon's upgrade template is in %, the weapon will gain 3percent of its previous damage every time it's upgraded.

The cost for upgrading items increases when they reach the current level of the item. The cost rises with item's level.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be put into weapons, armor, and trinkets to provide an additional stat boost or impact while they're being used. These can be obtained through crafting, purchasing from vendors trading, or looting. Some upgrades also have specific cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components are only available to devices that have slots. The item must be at least upgraded to a blue level before a component can be applied. Upgrade components, unlike other mods, can only be applied only once. They cannot be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and enrichments are a special kind of upgrade component used for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment and some of the non-ascended back items. Infusions and enrichments can be retrieved by salvaging gear that is ascended or by completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade can be prefixed or a suffix changing the name of the item to the upgrade (for instancethe 'Canthan Armor Insignia' becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase an item's Mark Level or Rarity, allowing players create stronger versions of the equipment using less Upgrade Crystals than would be required to achieve the same level of upgrade through normal methods.

A boost upgrade is a way to alter the attack or defense characteristics of a weapon or armor. These upgrades can be made from the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene and defeats the Crazed Mechanic. They can be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear or by purchasing them in the cash shop for 500 Upgrade item crystals.

The player is able to have up to five boost upgrades at a time; each upgrade increases the probability that a better-quality version of the item will drop at the time of the next reset. This gives players an incentive to upgrade their equipment even if they are unsure what will be improved following an update.

Whether a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process could be costly and there is a high chance that the item could become obsolete or even break when it fails. A failure to upgrade can ruin the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. This is reduced by the availability of cash shop items to increase or even eliminate the chances of failure, as well as some upgrades that provide an additional benefit when they are inserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to upgrade the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets that are specifically designed for. The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it in your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph with the same rank or higher rank, which will boost the overall value of the glyph.

There are Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of an Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain unlimited-use gathering tools as well as through Faction Crypt raids. Every Faction Crypt has the chance of dropping one of the various Glyphs, and there are some rare Glyphs that can be found as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

Each upgradeable item has a level which determines the final statistics. Upgraded items may be leveled up to a maximum level of 385. Each item upgrader mod level requires a different number of components, and the upgrade costs increase as the item gets upgraded.

Certain upgrades require a certain ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained from the completion of Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table or bought from NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed results in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to upgrading an item. Once enough points are earned you'll be able to claim your upgrade and receive its additional bonuses.

When the player upgrades an item to a higher level, the original item is replaced by a new item of the same kind. The same armor will be upgraded to a weapon or a shield when upgraded. The new item will come with a bonus of its own. This could be a drawback in that the item could increase in price even if you don't require it.

If the player has enough tokens they can roll the upgrade of their item. The item will be replaced with a brand new one that has a level 1 basis and completely different bonuses. This can be useful for some items, but it's not something that should be performed frequently, since it can use up a lot of resources.

Certain upgrades can increase their value and allow players to personalize their equipment. An excellent example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives a buff when the player repeatedly enters and leaves the water (or is able to swim like a dolphin). Requirements

Upgrades to armor set pieces increase its base defense and weapon upgrades items boost their base damage and also increase their strength and dexterity.

All items are upgradeable up to five times except for hero equipment, which is able to be upgraded eight times. Each time you upgrade an object, it has a chance of failing. The probability of failure increases as you move beyond the maximum number. Failures will cause the item to revert to its original state, which will force the user to spend more materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the highest number of upgrades.

If an item is not upgraded the experience bar on its growth bar will reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it has gained like chances to be crit attack damage, additional effects (such as increased heal over time, or reloading speed). However, the player can still continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.

When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied in order from the lowest to the highest. This means that, if a weapon gains an increase in crit chance, the increase is applied prior to any increase in attack damage. Slots is a brand-new attribute that has been added to item definitions. The value is calculated each time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item upgrader are dependent on its rarity score and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium products is equal to the base value of the upgrade--for example, a common equipment item could have five upgrades with a cost of 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Opportunity. Hero quality items have lower costs per upgrade.

Premium items have different upgrade requirements than standard gear--for instance, they might require fewer sowels, but they will require more minerals and erons. The player will still need to bring every piece of gear they want to upgrade to the NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each upgrade to equipment will require different amounts of upgrade ingredients in addition to the costs listed above.
